PERSONALITY:
On first meeting Nagito, he is likely to come off as very friendly, pleasant, and easy going. It's actually difficult to make him angry, unless one knows what sets him off; which in itself is part of what makes him unusual. Most abusive statements he'll shrug off, and he's likely to respond in general good cheer; even against death threats. He can also be self-depreciating, especially with other mutants as he believes his own power to be rather worthless in general.
While it won't be obvious at first, Nagito is an incredibly broken individual. All around he's had a fairly traumatic childhood, and actually has little value for his own life. While he doesn't fear death, at the same time he doesn't want to die in vain. At the very least, he would wish his death to be a stepping stone to help foster hope.
On the subject of hope, Nagito is obsessed with the ideal. So much so that he wishes to see 'hope' endure many struggles and become stronger; whether it be by overcoming another hope or by thwarting despair. Anybody who fights only to bring despair or destruction will meet absolute loathing from Nagito. He has little way of developing loyalties to anybody. If he thinks a stronger hope would come of betraying his 'friends', he would do it.
For anybody that Nagito has a reason to dislike, he can be rather condescending and rude. If any shortcomings are known, he's likely to rub it in their face. On extreme cases, he's even likely to plot their demise at whatever the cost.
For all his warped personality, Nagito is exceptionally smart. His problem solving skills are topnotch and he is a diligent student who gets his work done. He's also rather inquisitive, trying to get whatever information he can on whatever subject (or person) that catches his interest.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Lucky: Nagito's mutation is... luck. For the most part, this mainly affects him; and, if it affects somebody else, is generally as a result of his own luck. As an example, he can't just bestow luck on somebody playing a dice game without him; they have to be playing against him or be in a tournament and lose so that he doesn't have to face them. His luck manipulation runs both ends of the spectrum of good and bad, and the effects can either be minimal or extreme. This can affect a number of things from getting a winning hand at poker, getting the empty chamber in a revolver loaded with 5 bullets while playing Russian roulette... or a freak meteor hitting a plane. So long as there is a 'chance' factor to it, Nagito might be able to influence it.
At the time of this application, he has little control over it.
His white hair was influenced by his luck, a freak side mutation by “chance” that allowed him to be easily recognized as a mutant so he could be admitted into Xavier Institute. (Note that he won't be getting any other mutations by 'luck')
AU HISTORY:
Nagito's life can be summed up as a series of lucky and unlucky events. It all started with a plane he was on with his family that was hijacked by a terrorist. However, a stray meteorite by “pure luck” smashed into the plane and killed the terrorist... as well as Nagito's parents. He was the only living relative alive to collect a massive inheritance. With that, he was almost allowed to do whatever he wanted.
But things would never quite brighten up for Nagito. His life became a blur of good and bad luck fueled incidents, but his bad luck never being so bad that he'd find himself dead. He became hardened to the world around him, though he kept a cheerful facade.
His most notable encounter would be during middle school, when he was targeted by a criminal and kidnapped; presumably to ransom him. He happened to find a winning lottery ticket in the very garbage bag the kidnapper had stuffed him in. Also, by pure 'luck', a mutant came upon the scene and battled the criminals in a spectacular display; filling Nagito with awe, wonder, and... hope? Though he never got the name of his mysterious rescuer, he found himself filled with purpose.
After returning home, he tried to find out what he could on mutants. Subsequently, he researched the two major groups: The X-Men and Magneto's Brotherhood. It was interesting for him to see their different ideologies... one that wished to co-exist with humans, and the other that wished to enslave or destroy them so that only those that evolved would be left. Two different hopes... and whichever one prevailed over the other, their hope would glow even brighter...!
With little way of getting in touch with the Brotherhood, he made arrangements to be accepted into the Xavier Institute. From there... well, he'd see where things would take him. Nagito didn't believe he'd make much difference, but it'd surely be interesting to see the hopes and dreams of everybody at the Institute and where they end up.

This is basically to show off character voice in the form of a network post. It can be text, vocal, or video. We want at least some dialog, though in cases of less talkative characters, we are willing to accept character 'voice' in more subtle ways. Make it work!

This is an example of your ability to write the character's introspection. Their thoughts, feelings, and reactions to a given situation. Get inside their head. Remember to show, not tell. These are off network, what would normally go in the log community. You do not necessarily need to write this prose style, and can do a bracket style if you choose. But we still need to see a healthy amount of introspection.
